Installing YAL is easy:

• Create a free account using the form on our site.
  Wait, a short while, for an e-mail which you will use to activate your account.
  Download Kirstens  Viewer and install it by double click.
  Download the shortcut for YAL
  Start the applications to double-click on the YAL-Kirstens shortcut

• Using Hippo Viewer:

• Download the Hippo OpenSim Viewer 0.6.3 for Windows and install it. For Linux download here.
• Double click on shortcut "Hippo OpenSim" now on your desktop (which you can rename to "YAL" for easy recognition). Go to the top menu Edit=> Preferences=> Grids. Select the Grid "youralternativelife".
• 
• Click on Apply
• Click on the Default button at the top beside Select a grid to make YAL your Grid in this viewer. Press OK
• In your Hippo Viewer, enter your avatar's First name, Last name and Password (which you created on the YAL website) and connect to the YAL Grid.

Other viewers that can be used are the latest versions of:

Using the Second Life (SL) Viewer:

-Download SL Viewer and install it by double click. At the end of the installation click "No " to the question "Launch WORLD?"
-Download the shortcut for YAL
-Start the applications to double-click on the YAL shortcut

or else:

1. Make a copy of the SL shortcut on your desktop (which you can rename to "YAL" for easy recognition).

2. Right click the application icon and select "properties" to show package contents.
3. Edit the target field by adding after the following line :  -loginuri http://grid01.from-ne.com:8002/ -loginpage http://grid01.from-ne.com/tios/loginscreen3.php -helperuri http://grid01.from-ne.com/tios/services/

4. Save the settings by pressing Apply and OK

5. Run the viewer to log into YAL
